  5. It is June 1, 1812.  In Washington, DC, American President John 
  6. Madison has declared War upon Great Britain, for interferring 
  7. with American trade and for rousing the Indians in America's 
  8. Northwestern frontiers.  Britain has recently defeated Napoleon,
  9. safeguarding their homeland from Continental European threat.  
  10. France is busy rebuilding from Napoleon's defeat, while Spain is
  11. content constructing their colonies in Latin America.  Meanwhile,
  12. a Royal British Expeditionary Force is en route to the former
  13. renegade colonies.  For a marginal victory, maintain control of 
  14. all American cities.  For a decisive victory, mount a successful
  15. invasion of Canada, banishing Britain from North America for all
  16. time!  If you loose two cities, you will be defeated.  Lose six, 
  17. and you will be conquered and humiliated by the British Regular 
  18. Army.  Only time will tell -- Can you defeat Britain's almost
  19. unstoppable Naval and Armed Forces to defend the integrity of 
  20. the fledgling United States?
